Western Wall Hosts Bar/Bat Mitzvah for 83
JERUSALEM, ISRAEL – After traveling from across the continent, 83 young Jews from Western Europe and the former Soviet Union met in Ben Gurion Airport to begin a breathtaking tour of their Jewish homeland. The trip, which included a massive Bar/Bat Mitzvah at the Western Wall, was coordinated by MORASHA/European Jewish Youth to help young European Jews discover their part in Israel′s ongoing legacy.

During their trip, the group visited Jerusalem, Safed, Tiberias, Tel Aviv and the Golan Heights. They enjoyed unique welcomes and tours wherever they went, enjoying special activities and recreation.

At the high point of the trip, the 83 boys and girls were ushered to the Western Wall for a world-class Bar and Bat Mitzvah celebration. Dignitaries at the Western Wall welcomed the group for a massive Bar and Bat Mitzvah celebration. After the main event, a dinner reception was held with Chief Rabbi Israel Meir Lau, Interior Minister Eli Yishai and other Israeli dignitaries.

Morasha and the European Jewish Development Fund express thanks to all of our supporters for their generous support of this project. In your merit, these children will remember this special experience forever. Thank you for being part of it!
